Taylor Mesplé Biography
Taylor Mesple became a music producer and engineer by accident. Having gotten a very early start at being a studio musician as a keyboardist and vocalist at the ripe age of 13, Taylor was immersed in a community of songwriters, artists and studio musicians from the start. He was a regular on the Denver studio scene at that age. Taylor was known for his good taste and discernment when it came to recommending the right musicians and engineers for a particular collection of songs, being a passionate listener and student of music. It was natural that artists would commonly ask Taylor to help pick players and engineers for their songs... and Taylor was surprised to find out later on that this was a big part of what was called "producing".
Industry veterans have commented about Taylor's ideal balance between being able to dissect certain musical elements under the microscope, and the wisdom to know when to back off and let something just soar without being messed with.
